At a glance
A quiet, well-kept park on level ground, minutes from East Tamworth. There is a swimming pool, two amenities blocks with showers and laundry, a clubhouse, a camp kitchen, a fire pit and plenty of open grass. A service station is next door and the pub is a short drive down the road.
Most people here stay a week or more — crews working in town, travellers heading through to Armidale or the coast, and residents who have been on site for years. Welcome to Tamworth Cabins & Caravan Park.

What to do in Tamworth
All of it a short drive from the park.
The Big Golden Guitar
Twelve metres of it, out on the New England Highway. Inside are more than 20 guitars signed by the artists who played them.
Australian Country Music Hall of Fame
Instruments, posters and photographs, and the story of how a country town became the country music capital. The Hands of Fame park has the handprints of more than 300 stars set in concrete.
Oxley Scenic Lookout
A 180-degree look over the city and the Peel River valley, from the hill on the western edge of town.
Tamworth Marsupial Park
Fourteen hectares of bush and native animals, and it costs nothing to walk in.
Tamworth Regional Playground
A skywalk, three giant slides, four towers, a bike track, flying foxes and a waterfall. Bring the grandkids.
Nundle and Chaffey Dam
The run south. One of the last working woollen mills in the country, gold fossicking in the Peel (you will need a permit), and a dam for boating, sailing and swimming on the way.
Ask at the office and we will tell you what is on while you are here.
